It’s a recent bicycle neighborhood, but it’s said that British products are hot.
Since I bought BROMPTON, I heard that when I got the chemicals for car wash, they were British products. Do you know the chemical called Muc-Off? I recently purchased a waterless car wash detergent, and I’ve recently begun to pay attention to it because it removes a lot of dirt and the pink color of the detergent makes it look pretty appealing.
What is Muc-Off?
Muc-Off is a UK-based chemical manufacturer of Made IN UK. The lineup covers everything from car wash detergents to chain cleaners, degreasers, coating cleaners, chain lubes and general maintenance.
Waterless car wash detergent
Muc-Off’s waterless car wash detergent seems to have been originally released for E-bikes, but I think it can be used when washing a car in an apartment or condominium room, such as when living alone. Since it is for car wash without water, you can easily wash the car by simply shaking the detergent well, spraying it on the car body, waiting for a few minutes, and wiping it off with a microfiber cloth. And the great thing about this detergent is that it takes in dirt by simply spraying it on the car body, encapsulates it, and covers it so that it can be removed without having to flush it with water. The Muc-Off paper ad says it can be used for daily wiping and car washing, but once a week or once every two weeks is strong enough. If you coat it by spraying a coating agent after this detergent, you can keep it clean for a month if you store it indoors.
Washing car wash detergent
One of Muc-Off’s main products is this detergent for washing with water. It is a signboard product of Muc-Off with reliability enough to be adopted by professional road racing teams. It features a pink cleaning solution. I haven’t used it directly, but according to the story of the pro shop, even if the car body is dirty on the trail etc., spraying this Muc-Off bike cleaner will remove the dirt. If you first wash off the stubborn dirt on the car body with water and then spray this bike cleaner, it will remove the dirt as if it melts the dirt. The trick is to spray the detergent and leave it in the shade for 3 to 5 minutes. It seems that the purpose of putting time in the shade is to prevent it from drying out by spraying detergent.
Drivetrain Cleaner
A drivetrain cleaner is recommended for cleaning chains and sprockets. Although it is a so-called degreaser, Muc-Off Drivetrain Cleaner features a yellow cleaning solution. After first flushing the chains and sprockets with water, spraying this drivetrain cleaner will dissolve the sticky oil stains. Brush the chain tops and sprockets with a cleaning brush to clean the chains and sprockets. Don’t forget to apply the chain lube to the chain after washing the car.
Silicon Shine and Bike Protect
There are two types of coating chemicals in the Muc-Off lineup. One is Bike Protect and the other is Silicon Shine.
The feature of Bike Protect is that it can be used for drive trains, sprockets, chains, derailleurs, and chainrings even though it is a coating agent. Once sprayed, it can be coated by blowing it up with a dry microfiber cloth.
Another silicone shine is a silicone-containing coating that protects your bike for a long time. After washing the car, spray the frame or mountain bike on the suspension and blow it up with a microfiber cloth to finish the car wash.
Dry & Wet Lube
We have a wide lineup of chain lubes, from dry and wet lubes for professional use to standard lubes for hobby use. The standard lube is a dry and wet lube, and this lube is recommended for the price. The Muc-Off chain lube is basically a type that is applied to each frame of the chain, and is divided into dry condition and wet condition. Wako’s and Muc-Off’s Gachi Battle Outbreak?
Wako’s chemicals are one of the chemicals originating in Japan, but at present, there is a market share battle with Wako’s at the sports bike shop. As a car wash detergent, Wako’s forming multi-cleaner, Macoff’s waterless detergent and water-washing detergent, Wako’s chain lube and Macoff’s chain lube for chain lube, Wako’s barrier coat for coating agent, silicon shine and bike protector for mac off. They collide with each other like this. Wako’s puts feedback from basic motorcycles and automobiles on bicycles, but Muc-Off specializes in bicycles and it seems that Wako’s still has more share as a share, but fashion-conscious pro shops and fashionable people I have the impression that Muc-Off is used in many bicycle shops.
